Happy Holidays! Not much to say other than it's been a really nice and peaceful season. The food and the company have been warm. I've gained a bit of weight of course. Soon I'll be picking up an Elektron Octatrack MkII, looking forward to learning a new device, hopefully will be able to feature it in a Jamuary video!

It's Thanksgiving in the USA! Yesterday I had my first colonoscopy and endoscopy, which came out clear of cancers. A relief given recent events. Today I am traveling up to the SF Bay area. Should be a lot of fun.

Sadly, our family member died on November 7th. I am moving from my current location. I've only a few days left to complete my monthly songwriting challenge. Holidays coming up, will be travelling too. Lots of plates spinning at the moment!

Living a life on pause. We have a family member on hospice care. I am staying out of town, and the things I would normally do are shifted about for the moment.

I have made a bizarre little game adjacent thing for Ludum Dare 56. During theme slaughter, "giraffe" came up as an option, so I mixed it with the official theme. I recorded a variety of loops which get layered during gameplay to form an off the grid ambient piece. Check it on itch.io!

I've been fascinated with the multitrack recorder (MTR) workflow for a while now. Last year I bought a Tascam Model 12 to use as a mixer and for experimenting with the MTR experience. Today I took a stab at making an ambient tune. I layered it up track by track, improvising with the Microfreak and pedal effects. I like how it turned out. Check it on YouTube!

Each month I participate in a songwriting challenge. This month's entry is a nostalgic sounding retro synthwave track. I put together a quick MV using stock footage from Pexels and lots of effects to make it feel dreamy. Watch it on YouTube!

I've been going to the cinema a ton because I sprang for the AMC A-List subscription, which is three movies in any format for free per week. So, I've added a page to keep track of the movies I see. View the list.

ODDADA is a neat music game that released recently. In the game the player arranges toys to make music tracks. Once six tracks are made, the player gets to do a short performance which is recorded onto a cassette tape.

I made a video of a session in which I record three new cassettes. At the end I play through my casssette library and reorganize the case based on which tapes I liked best at the moment. Watch it on YouTube!
